ABOUT THE FORUM
The 2026 ASPC European Forum is one of Europe’s leading gatherings dedicated to high-performance sport, bringing together key stakeholders from across the continent in a unique environment for dialogue, collaboration and strategic development.
Organised under the framework of the Association of Sport Performance Centres (ASPC), the Forum serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, the discussion of shared challenges and the strengthening of cooperation between training centres, sport organisations and academic institutions. It reflects ASPC’s ongoing commitment to supporting excellence and innovation within the European high-performance ecosystem.
The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone, as it will be hosted in Portugal for the first time. Taking place at the Rio Maior Sports Centre, the Forum reinforces the country’s growing role within the international high-performance landscape and highlights the strength of its integrated approach to sport, education and research.
The event is jointly organised by the Rio Maior Sports Centre and the Portuguese Sports Foundation, with the institutional support of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, the Portuguese Olympic Committee, the Portuguese Paralympic Committee, Turismo do Alentejo e Ribatejo and the Municipality of Rio Maior, reflecting a strong national alignment and a shared commitment to the development of high-performance sport.
More than a traditional conference, the Forum is designed as a space where experience, expertise and practice converge. It brings together decision-makers, performance directors, coaches, researchers and institutional leaders, fostering meaningful discussions that contribute to the evolution of high-performance sport in Europe.
Through a carefully structured programme and a highly connected environment, the ASPC European Forum aims to generate impact beyond the event itself — strengthening networks, inspiring new approaches and supporting the continuous development of Training Centres and sport systems across Europe.
